The short version: We collect only what's necessary to provide you with personalized nutrition insights. We don't sell your data. Your food photos are processed for nutrient analysis and are not stored permanently on our servers.

• Authentication credentials (securely managed via AWS Cognito or social sign-in providers)

Health & Nutrition Data

To provide personalized insights, we collect:

• Food logs (meals you photograph or manually enter)
• Supplement information you track
• Health goals you select during onboarding
• Nutrient intake calculated from your food logs

Photos

When you photograph a meal, the image is sent to our servers for AI-powered food recognition. Photos are processed in real-time and are not stored permanently. We retain only the extracted nutritional data, not the original images.

Device & Usage Information

We automatically collect:

• Device type and operating system
• App version
• General usage patterns (screens visited, features used)
• Crash reports and performance data

How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service: Analyze your food intake, track nutrients, and generate personalized recommendations.
• Improve the App: Understand how features are used to make StackCheck better.
• Communicate: Send important updates about your account or the service.
• Support: Respond to your questions and troubleshoot issues.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with:

• Service Providers: Third parties that help us operate (cloud hosting via AWS, payment processing via RevenueCat/Google Play, AI services via Anthropic). These providers are bound by confidentiality agreements.

We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Your account is protected by secure authentication through AWS Cognito. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).
